ধরুন, "teacher" একটি Common Noun।
কেন?
কারণ "teacher" শব্দটি কোনো নির্দিষ্ট শিক্ষকের নাম নয়। এটি যেকোনো শিক্ষককে বোঝাতে পারে।
আবার:
- city = যেকোনো শহর
- boy = যেকোনো ছেলে
- school = যেকোনো স্কুল
তাই এগুলো Common Noun।

একটি Common Noun-এর সাধারণত নিচের বৈশিষ্ট্য থাকে।
1. সাধারণ নাম প্রকাশ করে
